Discover Insights has been formed off the back of my own business and personal development journey.
My career started in the finance industry and by the age 23 I was a team leader for a team of 5 people. Whilst I enjoyed the people side of the work there were elements to the role that I didn’t enjoy and so I left the industry and tried some roles to see what I enjoyed. That exploration led me to an organisation that was focused on helping accountants transform their lives and businesses. During my time there two things happened, I became accredited to deliver DiSC Personality Profile assessments and I studied for a Business Management degree with specialisms in people management, leadership and motivation.
When I started my first business SMART Support For Business Ltd back in 2013 I had clear intentions and one of those was to do more coaching and training with businesses to show them how DiSC personality tests and the insights they delivered could help with communication, team development and leadership. Over the years I have become so passionate about the work I do with business owners and their teams, I wanted to offer the same insights to professionals and individuals that are simply looking to learn more about themselves and experience greater levels of success in their life, work and relationships.
DiSC helped with my understanding of the differences in how people behave differently, but over time, doing more and more personality tests and one to one coaching, it became clear that there were differences between people that from a DiSC perspective had the same balance of traits
This had me curious until as part of my own personal development I was introduced to the Enneagram, this highlighted that there were different emotional drivers behind why people behaved the way they do based on their different Enneagram Type. I began to realise from my own journey how immensely valuable having these insights into personality can be. Reflecting on my own Enneagram type helped me to understand the bugs in my operating system that were holding me back in many areas of my life.
If you ask any of my friends or family they will tell you that I love learning and I am naturally curious about what makes people tick and so I have spent a lot of time exploring Enneagram styles and how your type influences your personality and emotions.
But I was driven to understand more about where the drivers come from and so in 2018 I signed up to study a Masters degree in Developmental Psychology.
That was where I was introduced to Attachment theory and I found the missing piece to my mental puzzle around personality. I discovered the affect individual attachment styles could have on our subconscious beliefs.
Now that I have had the gift of discovering the insights into my own personality, how it can hold me back and my personal development areas, I want to share my knowledge and experience to help make a positive difference to as many people as I can and to empower them to become the best version of themselves.
Discover Insights was born from my desire to share my knowledge and experience to help make a positive difference to as many people. It brings together three well known personality tests: DiSC Profile Test, Enneagram Type Test and Attachment Styles Quiz; to create a truly unique way of understanding your personality in a more comprehensive way than ever before.
I believe that because life is challenging at times everyone deserves to have a fuller understanding of themselves and to feel more empowered so my personal mission is to help people to discover unique insights into how and why they behave, feel and react the way that they do and to empower them to become the best version of themselves.
Having made the connection between the different layers of personality I saw an opportunity to create my own personality test that would give people an understanding of what their own unique layers look like.
My own personality testing tool has been designed to bring together three well known and powerful frameworks to create a truly unique way of understanding your personality in a more comprehensive way than ever before.
For every individual that works with Discover Insights they will get a perspective into who they are and how and why they think, feel and react the way that they do. These insights can’t be got anywhere else.
Unlike many other personality tests Discover Insights is not just some computer generated and generic report that is immediately emailed to you. Instead, every report is carefully put together by me to make it more personal to you.
Also, and perhaps more importantly I am not just providing you a written report, I am also offering you my specialist knowledge and coaching support.
