Discover Insights is the specialist personality, psychology and individual development part of my work.
It helps business owners, leaders and professionals understand more about how they communicate, make decisions, relate to other people and respond under pressure.
Rather than reducing somebody to one personality type, I bring together different perspectives to build a richer picture of what may be happening and what that understanding might help you do differently.
Hi, I’m Joanne. I’m a business coach and organisational psychologist, and my work brings practical business understanding together with psychology.
My career began in finance, where I became a team leader at 23. I later spent almost ten years working with an organisation that helped accountancy practices improve and develop their businesses, moving from administration into coaching, facilitation and becoming a trusted sounding board for business owners and leaders.
I founded SMART Support for Business in 2013. I have a first-class honours degree in Business and Management, specialising in people and organisation management, leadership and motivation. Further study in developmental psychology, together with training and accreditation in personality and relationship models, deepened my interest in what shapes the way people think, communicate, relate and respond.
Discover Insights grew from bringing those different parts of my work together. I wanted personality information to be more than a report or a label. The useful part is understanding what the information may mean in the context of your actual work, relationships, leadership or current challenge.

No single personality model explains the whole person.
DiSC can help us explore observable behaviour and communication preferences. Enneagram adds insight into some of the motivations and internal drivers that may sit underneath familiar behaviour. Attachment at Work can help us explore expectations around trust, reassurance, independence and connection in working relationships.
Looking at these perspectives together can give us more context for understanding what you do, why some responses may feel particularly familiar and what may change when pressure rises.
The aim is not to give you three labels. It is to create greater self-awareness and more choice in how you respond.

A personality report can give you interesting information, but the report is only the starting point.
The guided conversation is where we connect that information to your own experience. We can explore what feels accurate, what surprises you, where different perspectives seem to connect and what may be particularly relevant to something happening in your work or life now.
I’m not looking for a new personality for you to become. The purpose is to help you understand the personality you already have more clearly and use that awareness more intentionally.
The value of Discover Insights is in connecting the information to something that matters to you. That might include:

Observable behaviour and communication preferences, including pace, priorities, detail and decision-making.

Motivations and internal drivers, including what you may be seeking, avoiding or protecting.

Patterns around trust, reassurance, independence and connection in working relationships.
